Favorite Urban Fantasy Reads of September 2020

Since I’m not writing like a fiend at the moment, I’ve actually had time to read, and have I been burning through some excellent books!  Here’s a short roundup of my three top books for September: Famine Laura Thalassa I mean, you  just can’t go wrong with a book about evil (read : conflicted) immortal gods finding their HEA.  As with all of her books, with one is a wild ride, where you get from the beginning (hated enemies) to the end (lovers forever), and somehow, you totally are on board, despite all the curveballs she throws at you. ...

Demoncursed is Out!

Demoncursed– Brand New Release Demoncursed releases onto the world today, and I couldn’t be prouder of my newest book baby.  If you like dragons, you’ll love Cole West, and when he meets alexis, the sparks fly! Here’s a short excerpt to warm you up: “We should get moving.” Cole told her. “I’m on a deadline.” “You could do that,” Alexis murmured, tracing the scales on the bottom of his neck, her featherlight touch causing a deep rumble in his throat. “Or you we can find a comfortable place and you could shift.” “There are no creature comforts here, Lex....

One More Week!!!

One more week until Bloodcursed – book two in the Mage Circle Trilogy releases, and  in the meantime, I’m working on a couple of other projects. One is my very first reverse harem (Dark Angel), which will be published in an anthology in October, and I’m finishing up the first draft of Demoncursed, which will round out this summer trilogy. On the horizon is my pet project, an urban fantasy set in an alternative version of New York, that I’ve been working on for a year. This will be more traditional UF, written in first POV with one main...

Brand New Series Debut!

Today is the debut of my brand new series- the Mage Circle Trilogy.  Back before the corona-virus’s debut, I’d envisioned this set of books as an easy, fun beach read, since each can be read easily in an afternoon.  Then reality hit and even though the sun is out, the beaches are empty- but I hope you can still find somewhere quiet to curl up and enjoy this newest book! Here’s an excerpt from Seacursed: Victoria woke to the stench of burning flesh, the acrid smell burning her sensitive nasal passages. “I thought a Tracker would have a stronger...

The Lovers Release Day!!!

It’s finally here!  I had so much fun writing this book- and today is the day The Lovers finally releases!  I hope you enjoy Freyr and Lilly’s story every bit as much as I loved writing it!  This is book five in the series, and continues the story of the gods, their lovers, and their fight to save humanity. Here is a short snippet that you won’t find in the book:   Doomsday dawned so bright the rays burned their way through the morning as if in a rush to reach the end of the day. Loki lay with one...

Unrequited Heart

This is such an exciting day for me- book two in my Holy City Vampires series is finally out!!  This book has been a long time coming (two years, in fact) due to various publishing delays, but today Logan and Ian continue their adventures on the written page!  This book has it all- a sexy love story, revenge, retribution, forgiveness and a villain you’ll absolutely die for! Here is a brief snippet of their story:   Logan Dean’s happily-ever-after was only a week away. A fairy tale wedding. To the vampire king of Charleston. Unfortunately, she never even tasted the...

The Priestess Release Day!!!!!

Today is the day book three in the Banished Gods series releases- and I cannot wait for you to meet Sydney and Mir!  Their magical tale is full of desire and betrayal and love- and will keep you guessing until the very end! Here’s a short teaser: Beneath the final barrier inside of her, Sydney sensed the endless surge of her magic, the restless powerful energy thrashing, wanting out, out, out. Still, the melody danced in her veins, the stones singing their aria, her father’s ghostly voice echoing the music, the words in unison to the beats of her...

Queen of Swords Release Day!

It's release day for Queen of Swords- the first book in my Banished Gods series. After working on this series for almost three years, I am so happy that bookone is going to find its way to readers.

Never Let Me Fall by Abbie Roads

I just finished Abbie’s newest book and as always, she did  not disappoint. Superb storytelling from beginning to end, as she brings two damaged souls together and makes them whole. The third installment in her Fatal Dreams series, Don’t Let Me Fall is the story of Thomas Brown and Helena Grayse; Thomas can’t see color since a childhood family trauma, and Helena hasn’t spoken in ten years, as it was the only thing she had control over in her world.  Continuing the mythology of Nameless and the Bear, and some of her previous characters make cameo appearances throughout the...
